Mary is a true veteran of our industry with more than 30 years’ experience in large equipment sales, smallwares, installation, and project management. Mary built the Great Lakes National Accounts Team from the ground up - her specialty lies in managing chain foodservice accounts for notable clients like HMSHost Brands, Big Boy, and Tender Greens. In addition, she excels at cultivating excellent long-term working relationships with other large accounts such as Firekeepers Casino.
Mary’s motto? “Everyone can purchase equipment, it’s the service that makes the difference! Try Great Lakes West and let us show you what it’s like to work with the best!”
Her passion to deliver excellence and exceed her client’s expectations is demonstrated every day as she assists her clients around the country and leads the National Accounts Team.
Chris is based out of the Great Lakes West office, working as an Account Executive, and specializing in K-12, hotels, local restaurant chains, and just about anything in-between.
A native Michigander, Chris got his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Western Michigan University and joined Great Lakes West in 2005. One of the keys to his success is his attention to detail and the great rapport he creates with his clients. “I take time to understand every customer and find solutions that work best for their particular application.”
Outside of work Chris spends a lot of time with his family playing golf and coaching his kid’s youth sports teams.
David Kevil joins the Great Lakes National Accounts team with over 20 years of experience in the coffee and beverage industry. From sales and training to product development and national beverage program roll outs, David has a great deal of experience working in wholesale, retail, and convenience channels. He has led multiple cross collaborative efforts to help drive sales and guest engagement. He will continue to bring his expertise, passion, and curiosity to all things brewed, steeped, and fermented to the Great Lakes team. When away from the office, David can be found up north with his wife, daughter, and their dog, taking in the scenery and enjoying a campfire.
With over 25 years in the foodservice industry, it’s no wonder Jen is such a value to her healthcare clients. Jen’s focus is on hospital foodservice and works with large and small hospitals across the country.
“I handle sales from a one-piece order up to a new construction or remodel project with a kitchen and front of the house. There isn’t anything I can’t handle!”
One of the keys to Jen’s success is that she cultivates great relationships with her customers as well as manufacturers. She never hesitates to go the extra mile to get the job done.
“If I can go above and beyond, I will at every turn. Great Lakes West has a really great support system. We step up to help each other whenever needed, we are all on the same team.”
Louis brings a rich background in business management to the team. In addition, he has significant knowledge in plumbing, having grown up working side-by-side with his father in his family business. Food service has been a mainstay in Louis’ work background, including his position as General Manager of the Detroit Institute of Bagels.
“I really love the work that is happening here, it mixes my love of the food industry with the trades to produce an amazing final product that you can be proud to put your name on.”
Louis is a native Michigander and a life-long University of Michigan fan (Go Blue!) and is devoted to his wife, growing family, and their dog Bessie.
What can we say? Marci didn’t get the nickname ‘glue’ for nothing!
Marci is the Project Coordinator for the National Accounts Team – as she puts it, “I work in the background to make sure every project runs as smoothly as possible.”
Marci joined the Great Lakes team in 2004 without any history in the foodservice industry. Now she touches just about every phase of every project that runs through the team, from purchase orders, startups, closeout docs, all the way to handling warranty issues for customers once the job closes.
Marci takes the company Core Values to heart and has advanced in her professional education earning recognition as a SEFAPro!
“I love that our industry is always changing with new and exciting innovations being introduced all the time. We are always learning.”
Andrew has been working with Great Lakes as a Project Manager since 2019. Andrew is a former Marine, having served 4 ½ years based in North Carolina including some time in Afghanistan as a diesel mechanic.
After 2 surgeries on his leg Andrew left the Marines and came home to Kalamazoo, MI, where he worked as Sales Manager for Verizon for 3 years before joining the Great Lakes West team. “I never knew this industry even existed before I met Todd Heeter (President of Great Lakes West)!”, Andrew said. After being introduced to Todd at their church, it was only a matter of weeks before he joined the GLW team.
Andrew and his wife Taylor have 2 dogs, Rex and Fitz, and love to work out together, hike, and watch Spartan Football! They escape any chance they get to the beaches of Ft. Myers, Florida. One fun thing they like to do is getting to know the local bar owners in town.
One of Andrew’s favorite aspects of the foodservice industry is “…now that I know about all the equipment it’s more fun to talk about the industry to the owners when we go out.”
Macushla is a 6-year-old AKC certified mini goldendoodle. Although small in stature she has a big role to fill, and she takes her duties to heart!
On any given day you might find Macushla making rounds to everyone in the Southfield office, attending a team meeting, checking in and offering breaks for folks to give her a back scratch or belly rub, or napping in a cubby. She also loves to monitor what’s for breakfast and lunch to make sure we are eating healthy. Her favorite part of the day is greeting people in the morning as she runs around from desk to desk – she makes sure no one is ever left out.
When Macushla is home, she keeps herself busy; instead of being the official office greeter, she turns into the “neighborhood” dog. She comes home, runs over to 2 different neighbors’ homes, she goes to the one on right for a quick treat, then across the street to catch a game with our other neighbor, hangs out on the couch in the man-cave, she doesn’t care if it’s college or pro football or baseball! When she’s home, she always sits in the front door making sure the neighborhood is safe – no strangers allowed! Lastly her duties include hanging out in the back yard – she keeps all squirrels and rabbits off of the attached 5 properties. She comes sooooo close to catching them – but we are happy to report, she never does!
Her biggest pastime is being a great friend to all, she’s such a little lover – all of us are blessed to have her in our lives!
